BKK post 3 - River boat ride and Suan Lum Night MarketOur typical day began with a good range of breakfast buffet at Holiday Inn Hotel and we have the priviledge to meet our special guest today, CY's colleague, to show us around some of the 'must-go' places. She drove us around and brought us to the well-known temple area as well as the riverside. We skipped the temple sightseeing as most of us were in shorts and in order to enter, we will need to loan for a sarong as respect for the deities. Moreover, we have to pay entrance fees too.
Went ahead to take the river ride instead and paid quite a fair bit. Not recommended as there are really nothing much to see besides the giant fishes near a temple, sigh! We compensated for the ride by taking numerous photos... It started to drizzle on our way back and the waves were... really bumpy. :(

I can't remember this place, but i think it is Suan Lum Night market where they have a big eating place like food court with a wide projector braodcasting soccer match and a big stage with performers singing. We have to pay a few hundred bahts for a set of F&B coupons to order our food and drinks. There isn't much shopping to be done as things there were pretty expensive but the girls managed to do manicure at a really good rate with nail art. The only thing that is worth a mention is the oyster and deep fried mini crabs.
