If I fail to check at least 5 of the above, means... I'm either too picky, or BKK is not a good shopping paradise. We shall see...
I'm finally looking forward to this trip as I've just got my pay check! Got $500 to spare after settling all the outstanding *red* bills and loans.
Shall worry about being penniless again after this trip. At most, I'll go home daily after work lo...
First trip out with the girlies and BF, kinda look forward to it now. Was too busy to get excited since the last we booked as I'm a little broke too. Now, I'm excited as I can, not only get a short break from work, but to rethink and sort out my messy brain wires with good massages! Hope everything will turn out to be good.
On another note, I am thankful that I finally have a 'cover' person at work. Thanks Claire and Urrica... you girls have been great!
Chanced upon this website a few months ago, and thought it's good to share with my friends. First freebie I've got from the site was 'Breathe Right' that helps to prevent snoring. 2 packs of sample reached my mailbox after 2 week for FREE! :)
Yes to the above? Achieve it by joining Fr3b!
Have fun!
Gathering for Oktoberfest @ Oosters and it was a really hard place to find.
I always don't fancy taking public transport into Raffles place as I ALWAYS tend to get lost, no matter how much effort I put in researching for a map.
I remembered I was very lost when I was first attached to DBS @ Raffles place and I was lost for 45mins in total till I took a $5+ cab to reach the place which was very near. Imagine $2.40 boarding fees, CBD charges and peak hours? It's just a turn can???
I guess I always felt 'small' when I'm surrounded by all the tall buildings with congested human traffic. Thus, without failure, I lost my way AGAIN!
Took me 45mins to reach Oosters. I walked in circles and passed by Malacca Road, Celia Road, Chruch Street, road road road... and saw Prudential, Bank of China, 'Lau Pa Sat', almost there @ South Bridge road, China Square, Far East square and finally... Oosters!
Faint~ I almost want to give up as I'm on my 3 inch high heels and my legs feel like breaking can! Argh...!!! But, I continued as I can't find a place to rest my feet. Sad!
In the mist of searching for the place, a foreigner was also lost and approached my help to guide him to any Singtel but... I felt as lost. Got to be frank, and replied that I'm sorry, I can't help as I'm lost too.
Ha-ha! Singaporean being lost in her own country, and can't help a foreigner. He was also kind, bided goodbye and ended it with "Good Luck". Raalized that Singtel building was just behind when I lifted up my head into the sky after dinner. Zzz!
Anything, good things pays for the effort done. I got myself a good dinner for $37 by sharing most of the dishes with the rest of them :)
(This dish happen to be the last serving for the day)
Went to East Coast Park after dinner, with an intention to go 1-TwentySix but couldn't as it was closed for private function. Headed to The Vista Bistro instead, with live band till 10.30pm.
Prices are reasonable and almost similar to pubs.
I had the Vista Blend for $7++ and BF, with his Erdinger for $16++.
Butter Factory:
Great place for young people to party and get crazy with the lastest songs and of course, we enjoyed the place given that we are still like, young.
Ling posted this question to me for many times, which I chose to ignore:
Ling, we are not la! Still very young as we are only at our twenties~ Ask me again when you have 4 big candles on your birthday cake alright.
But to be frank, the party-goers there are really young. Their identification card can start with S90xxxxxX okie! Seriously, it's my first time seeing young punks in club and toasting drinks with each other with "Audition" style of dance. If you do not know what is Audition, you must be of some seniority? keke... Just joking, it's not too late! Go find out what is Audition - the game.
Most funny is, as we are lazing at the table, refusing to queue for drinks, 2 super young punks actually passed 4 cups of cranberry vodka on our table. Reason: They have too many on their table and cannot finish. Ha-ha!
Now, let the photos do the rest of the job.
Current feeling: Argh!!!
After spending $26 on 4 rolls of Swissrolls yesterday, I realized that I do not even have $0.05 in my wallet! I promise to think twice before I spend again. But, I did not splurge, for my intention was to buy 2 rolls to share with my colleagues but my dearest thought I wanted 2 sets of 2! Duh...
Dug my wallet, pouches and every corner of my bag, hoping to find some notes but it did not work. Headed to ATM as I was supposed to pack dinner for Brother and myself.
Queue 1..2..3..4..5.. and it's finally my turn!
Only to realize that the machine cannot dispense $10 notes, and minimum is $50!!!
DAMN! I can't do it................................................................................ as I am only left with $25 in my account.
Sigh. Dropped my head, took out my ATM card and walked home :(
Not a good feeling, at all!
Can anyone teach me how to manage my cash? I did worked hard to earn my keep, but why am I always so broke. Sad!
